Qualified Civil Contractors will be required to work in compliance with all applicable laws, trade regulations and SFU policies, as may be amended from time to time, as well as terms of applicable Work Orders. Qualified Civil Contractors will be required to be available on short notice for priority repairs and be able to respond within 2 hours for emergency repairs. (2-hour duration from receipt of phone call to arrival on site.) Civil works may, but not be limited to: Bulk Earthworks Reinforced earth structures Hydro-excavation Disinfection of water assets Drainage and pipe installations Repairs to water and sewer systems Water and sewer main installation and connections Rectification of water and sewer faults High pressure drain cleaning (jetting) Flushing of water mains Asset inspections and replacements CCTV investigation works Air scour cleaning of water mains Preventative maintenance of sewer mains Maintenance of water and sewer fittings Small road projects and road repairs Landscape reinstatement Concreting works sidewalk and walkway, curb and gutter, slabs and driveway, decorative concrete, retaining walls, sandblast and aggregate finishes, footings, landscaping Demolition and Deconstruction Winter maintenance Saw cutting 1. Commercial general liability insurance (including products and completed operations coverage) having a limit of not less than: (a) $2,000,000 per occurrence for Work Orders valued up to and including $75,000; and (b) $5,000,000 per occurrence for Work Orders valued above $75,000. The selected Proponent(s) are to be included on SFU's list of Qualified Civil Contractors for a period of one (1) year, with an option in favour of SFU to extend the term for inclusion on the list for an additional two (2) one (1) year terms. The Work Order set out at Appendix "F" and the Terms and Conditions set out at Appendix "A" of this RFSQ will apply to any work awarded to selected Proponents during the subsequent terms on which they may be included on SFU's list of Qualified Civil Contractors.
