Site work and paving for a civil project in Gainesville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

**As of April 24, 2024 project was awarded to Simpsons Trucking and Grading, Inc. , awarded amount is $3,417,713.14.** Contractors shall provide supervision, labor, equipment, and materials, necessary to perform the services of constructing the Cagle Road Improvements Project. The Project is located in northern Hall County (County) between White Sulphur Road on the south and State Route 365 on the north running paralleling to the Norfolk Southern Railroad. The County Road has a rural cross section with both paved and unpaved portions. The proposed Cagle Road Improvements Project (herein "Project") includes paving the unpaved portion, roadway grading, and stormwater drainage improvements while maintaining the rural cross section. The Project length is approximately 6,800 ft. which has been design to Hall County Public Works standards. Bidders Questions Due Date: March 29, 2024, 2:00pm Bidder's must present all questions in writing and directed solely to the issuing officer at apenick@hallcounty.org. Bid Bonds are required at 5% of quoted amount. The successful awarded Contractor MUST furnish to the County both a Performance and Payment bond, each equal to one-hundred percent (100%) of the total amount of the initial year's contract award amount and at each renewal and extension thereafter. The County will only accept surety companies licensed to do business in the State of Georgia. The County reserves the right to request clarification of information submitted and to request additional information of one or more applicants. The County considers a bid response as an irrevocable offer, good for a period of one-hundred and twenty (120) days from submission. Contractors shall provide supervision, labor, equipment, and materials, necessary to perform the services of constructing the Cagle Road Improvements Project. The County Road has a rural cross section with both paved and unpaved portions. 4.2 The proposed Cagle Road Improvements Project (herein "Project") includes paving the unpaved portion, roadway grading, and stormwater drainage improvements while maintaining the rural cross section. The Project length is approximately 6,800 ft. which has been design to Hall County Public Works standards. 4.3 The Project improvements are described in detail of the Cagle Road Improvements Plans prepared by Hussey Gay Bell approved by Hall County on 08/03/2023. 4.4 The plans have been prepared in accordance with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) 2023 Construction Standards and Details Book and attached applicable revisions. 4.5 Any revision contained within the plan set supersede the GDOT 2023 Construction Standard and Details. 4.6 All Traffic control shall in accordance with Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD), current edition, and GDOT standards. A traffic control plan must be approved by the County Engineer prior to the beginning of work. 4.7 All standard highway signs shall be fabricated and erected in accordance with details shown in the plans, the MUTCD, current edition, and the Georgia Specifications, Supplement Specifications, and / or provisions. 4.8 All work shall be performed in a such manner as to permit traffic to operate with the least amount of inconvenience possible. All traffic control devices, signs, striping, and flaggers shall be furnished by the contractor. At least one lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Payment will be included in the lump sum price bid for traffic control. 4.9 All Construction shall be in compliance with the Georgia State Soil and Water Conservation Committee's "Manual for Erosion and Sedimentation Control in Georgia". 4.10 All sediment control features shall be maintained on a regular basis and shall be removed by the contractor upon acceptance of the project by the owner. The contractor shall adhere to the Call Before You Dig Law by calling the underground protection center before beginning construction. 4.11 The contractor shall be responsible for all underground utilities and will coordinate work with utility companies. The contractor shall not award more than twenty-five percent (25%) of the work to sub-contractors on any project, without prior approval of the County Representative. 4.12 The contractor shall be responsible for all work performed in support of this contract including Sub-Contractor oversight. Sub-contractors shall perform no work unless pre-approved in writing by the County.
