Reference Number 0000265708 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/03/18 11:59:00 PM PDT Bid Intent Deadline 2024/03/11 11:59:00 PM PDT Pricing Lump sum Work if requested may be situated in any of the SFU Burnaby, Surrey or Vancouver campuses. Qualified Hazmat Contractors will be required to work in compliance with all applicable laws, trade regulations and SFU policies, as may be amended from time to time, as well as terms of applicable Work Orders. Qualified Hazmat Contractors will be required to be available on short notice for priority repairs and be able to respond within 2 hours for emergency repairs. (2 hour duration from receipt of phone call to arrival on site.) Hazmat scopes of work may, but not be limited to identification, mitigation and abatement of hazardous materials. Scopes of work might include, but not be limited to: Risk-assessments Exposure control Project specific safe work plan Working with third-party environmental consultants Isolate and contain contaminated area(s) Provide on-site cleaning and decontamination-recovery of salvageable items Documentation of work activities including, but not limited to, site conditions, inspections, monitoring results, and clearing inspections Asbestos inventory and removal Clean up and junk removal Restoration services Drywall testing and removal Flood damage restoration Demolition services Mould, lead and radon testing Biohazard clean up Oil and fuel spills clean up Wildlife removal The Contractor will pay for and maintain the following insurance with respect to the Work: 1. Commercial general liability insurance (including products and completed operations coverage) having a limit of not less than: (a) $2,000,000 per occurrence for Work Orders valued up to and including $75,000; and (b) $5,000,000 per occurrence for Work Orders valued above $75,000; The selected Proponent(s) are to be included on SFU's list of Qualified Hazmat Contractors for a period of one (1) year, with an option in favour of SFU to extend the term for inclusion on the list for an additional two (2) one (1) year terms. The Work Order set out at Appendix "F" and the Terms and Conditions set out at Appendix "A" of this RFSQ will apply to any work awarded to selected Proponents during the subsequent terms on which they may be included on SFU's list of Qualified Hazmat Contractors. See Appendix "C" Rate Bid Form for the process by which Rates may be adjusted for any subsequent terms that a Proponent is selected by SFU to remain on the list of Qualified Hazmat Contractors. agreement on the same terms and conditions for additional two (2) terms of up to one (1) year each term.
