The deadline to ask questions is 3/21/2024 4:00 PM CST The Gulf Coast Water Authority (GCWA) will receive Sealed Bids for Water Treatment Plant Chemicals at Thomas S. Mackey Water Treatment Plant, Bid Number: 5935-107. Gulf Coast Water Authority reserves the right to order specified product on an as needed basis. Thomas S. Mackey WTP employees will place orders as needed throughout the year. Bid quantities are estimates. No guarantee is made to purchase a specific quantity of product. Bidders should submit a bid for the item and quantities listed below. The quantities listed are for a one-year period. The contract will be awarded based on qualifying low bid for the product shipped for a two-year period. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to select only those bids deemed to be in the best interest of Gulf Coast Water Authority in accordance with the specifications. furnishing all labor, material, and equipment and performing all work required for the delivery of "2024 Chemicals - Liquid Ammonium Sulfate." Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes (clearly marked with Project No. 5935-107) upon the blank forms provided and marked in the upper left hand corner "Bid for Purchase of 2024 Chemicals - Liquid Ammonium Sulfate to be opened at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 26, 2024." Bids received after closing time shall be returned unopened to the Bidder. In conformance with applicable statutes, the general prevailing wage rates in the locality in which the Work is to be performed have been ascertained, and such rates shall be the minimum paid for labor employed upon this project. The Contractor shall forfeit as a penalty, to the Gulf Coast Water Authority, Sixty Dollars ($60.00) for each laborer, workman or mechanic employed, for each working day, or portion thereof, is such laborer, workman or mechanic is found to be paid less that the stipulated rates for any work done under this Contract. Attention is directed to the liquidated damages provision of this Contract (as specified in the General Conditions) and the fact that rainy weather shall constitute justification for any delay in the time for completion only under certain conditions (as specified in the General Conditions). GCWA reserves the right to reject any bid and to waive informalities in the bids. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in any bid, the GCWA reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bid. The award shall be made to the lowest and best responsive Bidder submitting the best value for the Gulf Coast Water Authority.
