The Project is expected to be awarded on June 03, 2024 during the Board Meeting.** The Project is entitled “SAUGUS WELL 1 REHABILITATION”. The project site is located approximately 600 feet west of the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Magic Mountain Parkway in the City of Santa Clarita, California. This project generally consists of removal and replacing turbine pump, pipe column, wellhead, motor, and disinfection of well. The work includes, but is not limited to brushing the interior walls of liner casing, air-jetting, perform video surveys, chemical treatment of liner casing, mechanical redevelopment in the well, four-point step drawdown pumping test, conduct a dynamic flowmeter survey, perform depth-specific groundwater sampling, including all attachments, appurtenances, and accessories; and all associated work (“Work”) as indicated in the Contract Documents. All bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check payable to the order of the AGENCY, or by a Bid Bond in favor of the AGENCY in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid Price. The Bid Guarantee must be received prior to the specified date and time for bid opening. The Bid Guarantee shall be submitted in a sealed envelope with the Bidder's name, marked with the name of the project, the date and time to be opened, and addressed and delivered or mailed, postage prepaid, to: SANTA CLARITA VALLEY WATER AGENCY, c/o Sidra Bernstein 23780 Pine Street, Newhall, CA 91321. It is each Bidder's responsibility to ensure that his/her Bid Guarantee is received by the AGENCY prior to the time set for bid opening. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish the AGENCY with Payment and Performance Bonds equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Davis-Bacon and Related Acts apply to contractors and subcontractors performing on federally funded or assisted contracts in excess of $2,000 for the construction, alteration, or repair (including painting and decorating) of public buildings or public works. Davis-Bacon Act and Related Act contractors and subcontractors must pay their laborers and mechanics employed under the contract no less than the locally prevailing wages and fringe benefits for corresponding work on similar projects in the area. The Davis-Bacon Act directs the Department of Labor to determine such locally prevailing wage rates. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to contractors and subcontractors performing work on federal or District of Columbia contracts. The Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage provisions apply to the "Related Acts," under which federal agencies assist construction projects through grants, loans, loan guarantees, and insurance.
