Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Charlestown, Rhode Island. Design plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for the construction of a educational facility.
Ashaway and Charlestown Elementary Schools will be built simultaneously in the first phase of construction. Richmond Elementary renovations and construction will begin in a later phase. As of March 14, 2024, this project has not yet been approved by voters. The bond referendum is scheduled for May 2024. The design firm has been identified and information regarding general contractor selection is unavailable. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction could begin April 2025.
