Description: The project consists of the following approximate principal quantities; 46,000 CY Common Excavation Type B; 94,000 CY Borrow-Excavation; 135,000 Ton Stabilized Aggregate Base Course; 63,300 Ton of Superpave FAA 43; 3,560 Ton PG 58H-28 Asphalt Cement; 68 LF of DBL 14'x8' RCB Culvert; 68 LF of 14'x8' RCB Culvert; 1,600 LF CMP (18IN-30IN) Culverts and End Sections; 1,200 LF RCP CL III (18IN-72IN) Culverts and End Sections; Traffic Control; Pavement Marking; Seeding and Hydromulch; and all miscellaneous work necessary to complete the project. All Bids must be submitted, and all work shall be done, in full and strict compliance with: 1. The Plans & Contract Documents for this project; 2. Any Special Conditions for this project; 3. 2023 NDDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction All Bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the Work and Materials necessary to complete the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security. The bid security must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid and must be in the form of a bidder's bond. A bidder's bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten days after notice of the award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. A countersignature of a bid bond is not required under this section. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten days allowed, the bidder's bond must be forfeited to the Owner and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must be licensed for the full amount of the bid as required by section 43-07-12 of the North Dakota Century Code. No Bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of Section 48-01.2-05 of the North Dakota Century Code.
