Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Stillwater, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

This Request for Quote (RFQ) has been prepared by Washington County to secure services for the demolition of 2 existing buildings (salt shed and utility shed) at the Noth Shop Public Works building located at 11660 Myeron Rd. N., Stillwater, MN 55082. The County Authorized Representative for this RFQ is: Mike Kline, Project Manager michael.kline@co.washington.mn.us Questions Due March 21, 2024 All aspects of the scope of services outlined below and included herein are expected to be completed. The purpose and intent of these specifications is to remove selected buildings/sheds and any other structure, as described, from property owned by Washington County. The work required includes furnishing of all labor, materials, permits, equipment, and services necessary for, or reasonably incidental to, the demolition of the structure. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the requirements as stated in this specification. Time is an essential element of the contract, the County will be entitled to damages for failure on the part if the successful contractor does not complete the work within the time prescribed. Washington County may retain the sum of Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) for each day the work remains incomplete after the completion date, not as a penalty but as liquidated damages to compensate for the additional costs incurred It is anticipated but not guaranteed that the selection of a contractor will be completed by April 3, 2024. Following notification of the selected contractor, it is expected a contract will be executed between both parties by April 12, 2024. Should the contractor find any discrepancies between its site findings and the specifications, or omissions from the specifications or other contract documents, or should the contracts be in doubt as to the intent, the contractor should notify the Contract Administrator, who may, if necessary, issue written instructions to plan holders. The lack of understanding as to intent, amount of work involved, or the contractor's knowledge of the conditions pertaining to the work shall not relieve the successful contractor from performing all the work required to complete performance of the contract. All questions and notifications must be sent via e-mail by 4:00 PM CST March 21, 2024 to the County Authorized Representative: Mike Kline, Project Manager michael.kline@co.washington.mn.us Only written questions and notifications will receive responses. Washington County reserves the right to disregard questions received after 4:00 PM CST March 21, 2024. An addendum will be issued through the same communication medium as this RFQ was originally distributed no later than 4:00 PM CST March 26, 2024.
