Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Mesa, Arizona. Completed plans call for the construction of a stadium; for site work for a stadium; playground / park / athletic field; and playground / park / athletic field.

The project will construct a new state-of-the-art batting training facility and a new addition for a women's locker room at the existing Cubs athletic training center located at 2330 W. Rio Salado, Sloan Park Spring Training Facility. The project scope includes: 1. A new metal building, approximately 23,000 sf, for a new batting training lab, including all required site, utility, communications, and building improvements required to complete a fully functional facility. 2. a new 5,600 SF addition to the existing 65,000 SF athletic training facility. The new addition will be located at the northwest corner of the existing building and improvements include all required site, utility and building improvements for a new locker room, office space and multipurpose room. The estimated construction cost is $11,000,000. The City anticipates completing construction in Summer 2025. The Cubs entered into a professional services contract with Populous to design these improvements. The CMAR shall work closely with and be an integral part of this project team during the design and construction phases of the project.
