Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) Advanced Cleaning, Inspection, and Repair to Structural Firefighting Protective Ensemble (SFPE) elements, as described herein: Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to advanced clean, inspect, and repair SFPE for Mendocino Unit (MEU). A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) goal is not required, but DVBE participation is encouraged, and a DVBE incentive may apply to this IFB. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 1, in this IFB for requirements. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of 25 percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs or MBs (if applicable), are encouraged to submit bids. See Section D, Special Programs, Item 2, in this IFB for requirements. Potential Bidders may submit written questions regarding the bid by March 05, 2024. All questions should be emailed in writing to christopher.cabanes@fire.ca.gov. NO QUESTIONS will be entertained after March 05, 2024. This Agreement will commence on April 1, 2024 (estimate) or upon approval by the California Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by DGS. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by CAL FIRE Project Representative. This Agreement shall expire on March 31, 2027 (estimate).
