Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium; for site work for a theater / auditorium; water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

Strand Theater - Phase 1 Renovation. Certified Check: Alternatively, the Bidder may submit a certified check made out to City of Kosciusko in the amount of (5%) of the base bid. All checks received from Bidders will be returned upon request, unless a Bidder is one (1) of the three (3) apparent low Bidders. The three apparent low Bidders' checks may be held for thirty (30) days, unless a Contract is awarded and executed in less time. Renovation work for the Strand Theater will include miscellaneous demolition, structural floor and balcony framing, concrete slabs and flowable fill in theater space, mechanical (plumbing and HVAC) work and limited plumbing and electrical work, and limited sitework. The project will also consist of work in the building next door to the south which will include miscellaneous demolition, framing modifications, limited wall framing, parapet stabilization work and limited mechanical work. The above general outlined of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors establishing his classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid. Bids shall show the Contractor's Certificate of Responsibility Number on the Bid envelope. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate on the form included in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent of the bid. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested, by the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. No proposals may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time.
