Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Columbia, Missouri. Design plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

As of April 3, 2025, per owner, they are not aware of when construction will begin. Engineer has been identified, and construction has not yet been bid. City staff believe that the metal span of Bridge 10 can be renovated and only the wood approach shall have to be replaced. The contractor shall review and provide engineering services accordingly for Bridge 10. The contractor shall understand Bridge 9 shall require full replacement. The contract shall provide all survey, design, geotechnical reports and permitting for the replacement of Bridge 9 and renovation of Bridge 10 on the MKT Trail. The contractor shall design the bridges to AASHTO specifications. Contractor proposed bridges shall be single span structures, steel truss pedestrian bridges with loading capacity of HS-20. The contractor shall provide all construction drawings and permits for the City to bid the replacement/renovation of the bridges. Qualifications received after the appointed time will be time stamped and marked as late. Late qualifications will not be opened and will not be considered in the evaluation.
