Renovation of a municipal facility in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Santa Fe County Public Works Department requests bids for the purpose of procuring a licensed construction company to provide specified upgrades and renovations to the existing facility for the District Attorney's Office Complex. Bids may be held for ninety (90) days subject to all action by the County. Santa Fe County reserves the right to reject any and all bids in part or in whole. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The work to be completed is located at 327 Sandoval Street, Santa Fe, NM 87501 within Santa Fe County, New Mexico. The project will consist of specified upgrades and renovations to the existing facility. The upgrades are primarily accessibility upgrades to exisiting restrooms and replacing ceilings and exisiting mechanical system. The work includes but is not limited to the following: A. Site Work and Demolition a. Temporary Construction Fencing, gates, and signage at designated staging area. b. Add Alternate A: New security fencing with gates and access control. B. Exterior Renovation a. New double entry doors with sidelights and access control hardware. b. Add Alternate B: Replace existing windows, stucco new finish coat. c. Add Alternate C: remove existing roofing and place with new. C. Interior Renovation a. Demolition of designated partitions. b. New partitions. c. New counter and cabinet work. d. New interior doors with wireless security hardware to interface with IT components. e. New floor and wall finishes. f. Demolish old suspended acoustic ceilings and replace. g. Add new window coverings (25 windows) at ground floor. h. Renovate restrooms to meet ADA accessibility requirements. D. Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing a. Replace heat pumps with new VRF system. b. Replace exisiting ductwork with new. c. Add exhaust duct. d. Add new grills and registers. e. New mini split system. E. Appliance F. Modify fire suppression system CONTRACT TIME: The number of days for the completion of work (the contract time) from the Notice to Proceed is three hundred and sixty (360) days. The number of days for the completion of work is weather working calendar days, where "calendar days" are defined as consecutive business days. Questions received less than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date for opening of bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. (505) 992-6753 Fax (505) 989-3243 Email - apatterson-sanchez@santafecountynm.gov WAGE RATES/REGISTRATION WITH THE LABOR AND INDUSTRIAL DIVISION OF THE LABOR DEPARTMENT: The contractor shall be required to fully comply with the Public Works Minimum Wage Act, NMSA 1978, 13-4-11 thru 13- 4-17. If the minimum wage rate determination for the project is not included in the initial Bid Documents, it will be furnished in an addendum. A contractor or subcontractors who submit a bid valued at more than sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) for a public works project that is subject to the Public Works Minimum Wage Act must be registered with the New Mexico Workforce Solutions at the time of the bid opening. The registration number shall be provided in the bid submitted by the contractor in the space provided for subcontracts with work proposed. After the bid opening, the registration numbers will be verified by the County and the bid will be determined to be non-responsive and disqualified if the registration numbers are "inactive" and the contractor does not provide proof of the required registration for itself or its subcontractors for work proposed over sixty thousand dollars ($60,000). For a public works contract whose value is $60,000 or more, the NM Public Works Minimum Wage Act, 13-4-11 NMSA 1978, also requires all tiers of subcontractors to submit certified weekly payroll records to the general contractor and the County biweekly. If this provision applies, the contractor shall, and shall require all tiers of subcontractors, to submit certified weekly payroll records to the contractor and the County's Project Manager for this project.
