The proposed project is part of the second phase of the Library’s capital projects plan. 2025 will include the continuation of work on a new Ashwaubenon Library branch. The new branch library will be approximately 15,000 square feet and will be in a location serving Southwest Green Bay/Ashwaubenon communities. Serving approximately 40,000 individuals, a newly constructed Ashwaubenon Branch will replace an owned facility with inadequate space for collections, restrooms, and meeting spaces. To better serve the community, the new branch will include enhanced meeting rooms, modern, accessible restrooms, additional public computers, and special spaces for families and children. Renovated spaces will support workforce and economic development, as well as contribute to the community’s cultural vibrancy. As of March 18, 2025, this project is in the Brown County capital budget FY 2025 CIP. Further information regarding a design firm and timeline for information has not yet been established. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
