GRTC Transit System is seeking bids from eligible suppliers for supply and delivery of 25 units of Polycrystalline Photovoltaic Module ALT30-12P 30Wats, 12 Volts Solar Panels designed for off grid applications. The company is a not-for-profit public service corporation jointly owned by the City of Richmond and Chesterfield County. Currently, GRTC operates 35 local routes and 10 express routes (including extended express routes) that provide transit service within the City of Richmond, Henrico County, and a small portion of Chesterfield County - a service area that accounts for nearly 7.5 million passenger rides yearly. In combination with traditional fixed-route service, GRTC also operates a Bus Rapid Transit system, named "Pulse" which launched in late 2017.
