Demolition and site work for a residential development in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
Major items of work for this project include the demolition of 2 residential properties located at: 708 S. 16th Street 3128 2nd Avenue The City of Council Bluffs will accept electronic bid submittals in IonWave until the date and time listed for this solicitation. Hard copy bid submittals are not acceptable and will not be considered. Any bid submitted after the deadline will be automatically rejected. Each respondent is responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure their submission is received and complete by the listed deadline. Incomplete submissions are automatically rejected. The City is not responsible for technical difficulties and will not allow late submissions due to the same. The bid will be administered and overseen by an authorized designee of the Community Development Department Questions Deadline: 3/14/2024 03:00 PM (CT) Major items of work for this project shall include the following: 1. Demolition shall include all improvements including buildings, footings, foundations, basements, private drives, hard surface paving (including sidewalks), sheds, fencing, shrubs, and trees (including stumps). See Attachment A for Pottawattamie County Assessors data. 2. Demolition shall include drive approaches off the adjoining street. Upon removal, a concrete curb shall be installed matching the existing curbing along the street. Work shall be permitted and constructed in conformance of Council Bluffs Public Works Standards. 3. Sidewalks shall be constructed in conformance of Council Bluffs Public Works Standards. 4. Associated work shall include placement of clean compacted fill on excavation areas, security, traffic control and erosion control. The lot shall be graded so the lot is crowned 1 foot above adjacent grade and match the existing grades of adjacent properties, sidewalks, and curbs. Upon completion of all fill activities, the sites shall be graded and seeded with a turf type fescue and annual rye grass mixture. 5. The relocation of structures or accessory structures on the site is prohibited, unless otherwise agreed to prior to the execution of a Notice to Proceed. 6. All demolition materials shall be disposed of in accordance with all federal, state and local regulation requirements, or ordinances to the strictest standard, a licensed demolition or sanitary landfill facility. 7. All fill material shall be identified and approved by the City prior to award. 8. Contractor is responsible for obtaining all required City permits. Question Deadline 03/14/2024 at 3:00 PM CT
