Project - this Project Consists Primarily of Dredging of the Interior of West Basin Marina Along With a Portion of Its Connecting Channel to the St. Joseph River. This Work Includes, but is Not Limited to, the Following: o Mechanical dredging of accumulated sediment within the specified areas to specified depths o Installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary turbidity and SESC measures o Transport and dewatering of dredge material at the designated temporary offsite dewatering location o Transport and permanent disposal of dewatered dredge material at an approved Type II landfill. Substantial completion of the dredging work shall be achieved by April 26, 2024. Barges and equipment shall be removed from the marina following substantial completion of the dredging work. Substantial completion of the dewatering and disposal of dredge spoils shall be achieved by May 5, 2024. Final Completion must be achieved by May 22, 2024 The RFP is issued by the City of Saint Joseph Recreational Harbor Authority (RHA). All correspondence, questions and additional information regarding this RFP shall be submitted, via e-mail, no later than 2 PM E.S.T., March 11, 2024 to: Colin Hassenger PE, Project Manager, Edgewater Resources, LLC chassenger@edgewaterresources.con The Owner will notify the successful bidder within thirty (30) days after receiving bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond, proof of insurance, and other items as described by the contract documents. The RHA reserves the right to accept proposals that are not the lowest price if it is determined to be in the best interest of the RHA. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the Owner. The Recreational Harbor Authority (RHA) will make every attempt to compare each proposal justly. The RHA reserves the right to accept, reject, or ask for clarification on any or all bids to ensure that the desired results are achieved. All bidders shall bid in accordance with and upon the bid forms included in the contract documents. All bid forms in Section 00 04 00 shall be signed, dated and submitted with the bid submittal package, as per section 00 02 00 of the Instructions to Bidders.
