Westview High School Gym- Av Upgrades The Bidder understands that the District maintains a goal of engaging minority, women, emerging, servicedisabled veterans, and socially or economically disadvantaged businesses (DMWESBSDVBE) as service providers in delivering services necessary to implement our bond program. The District aspires to a goal of fifteen (15) percent DMWESBSDVBE content, by contract value, in completing our capital bond work, and the Contractor shall expend reasonable efforts to reach this content in the total value of their contracts with the District. This Solicitation is for retaining a General Contractor (GC) to furnish, install, manage, and coordinate all work as shown in the attached documents on behalf of the Beaverton School District. The goal is to update the existing audio/visual equipment in the main gym at Westview High School. This project will include the installation of new AV components, such as new projectors, projection screens, and audio speakers. All work shall be completed over the 2024 summer break. The Project is described in summary terms below and in the attached documents. 2. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Westview High School is located at 4200 NW 185 th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97229. The project will take place at the school's main gymnasium. Westview was originally constructed in 1994 with several improvements over time. The school is 281,183 square feet. Westview High is within the jurisdiction of Washington County. 3. OPERATIONAL ATTRIBUTES: The District requires the project to be completed over the duration of the 2024 summer break beginning 7/1/2024 and substantially completed by 7/19/2024. All work must be completed by 7/26/2024. See project milestones below for further information. Coordination with summer maintenance activities and any summer school programs will be required. 4. GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK/PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: Please refer to attached plans and specifications provided by KCL Engineering, LLC. It is intended that the Contractor provides a complete project and coordinates work with the District, Contractors and Consultants hired by the District, and all applicable agencies having authority. a. All personnel on site must have completed background checks for all employees that will be working on this project. Provide a list of employees assigned to this project that have passed the background check to the District Representative prior to starting Work. All employees who will be on site during this project must visibly wear a "BSD Contractor" badge at all times. A badge template is available from the District Representative. b. The use of eBuilder project management software is required. Contractor will be required to utilize ebuilder for project- related documents including but not limited to, submittals and invoice. Training is provided by theDistrict. c. This is a prevailing wage (BOLI) project. Certified payroll will be required on a weekly basis. d. Contractor is responsible for all field measurements. e. Work to include supplying, storing, and handling of all required materials. f. Work includes protection of neighboring finishes (i.e. gym floors) and replacement/repair of any damaged surfaces including but not limited to ceiling tiles, wall board, paint, insulation, concrete block, etc. Gym floor must be protected at ALL times for the duration of the project. g. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and services as necessary and/or required to execute all the Work.
