DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE) GOAL: 5% Proposal Discussion Deadline is March 22, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. All questions or request for clarifications regarding the services required shall be submitted in writing and/or email (no phone inquiries will be accepted) and addressed to: Anthony Brown, Contract Administrator Trinity Metro 801 Grove Street Fort Worth, Texas 76102 E-mail: contractmgmt@ridetm.org ntroduction Purpose Trinity Metro is seeking bids from one or more firms to provide painting services on one or more properties. The successful contract recipient will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the job. In some circumstances the contractor may be able to use trinity metro equipment upon approval. Repainting Specifications - Contractor will provide services to repaint the following like structures, interior walls, doors, door trims, window trims, conduit, beams, posts, poles, platforms, stairs, stair risers, floors, and ceilings, exterior surfaces, bus fuel area, corrugated metal, wrought iron fence, billards etc. - Contractor will used approved colors predetermined by TM facilities management. Number of coatings will be determined by the type of surface being painted on, i.e. primer + 1 Coat, or Primer + 2 coats. - Contractor will move all necessary furniture, shelving, chairs, etc. from specified areas. And provide masking and tarps for painting preparation. Based on material and condition of the surface the Contractor will prep by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching. Cleaning the surface of dirt, grime, grease, and mildew while scraping and sanding to help remove compromised or peeling paint. - All Staging, scaffolds, ladders, and lifting equipment, will be used in a manner to meet OSHA safety requirements, and will not be a hazard to Trinity Metro Employees or contractor personnel. Contractor will ensure a safe work area and use appropriate signage, cones, barricades, etc. when applicable. - Contractor will be allowed to operate within the normal operating hours of Trinity Metro, 7:00 am - 5:00pm. Or within other operating hours upon approval. - Contractor will be responsible of disposal of all waste produced by the project, or with coordination and approval from facilities. Building Code. All Services shall be completed in strict accordance with all City, State, and Federal regulations. Warranty Workmanship work will carry a warranty for 90 days. This includes but is not limited to the following: -Peeling paint, bubbling, cracked caulking, and major fading due to application. This does not include damage caused by sprinklers, landscape vegetation, chemicals, impacts, excessive heat exposure, or structural deficiencies. -Surface defects due to prepping and paint application, along with paint drips, splatter, smears, or damaged items. -Paint service Warranties should only cover unforeseen conditions that did not originate prior to a final inspection but reveal themselves prematurely due to improper application or product performance. - Contractor agrees to remedy by replacing or repairing any item(s) that is damaged or defective during normal usage within the warranty period, at no additional cost to Trinity Metro. Such repair or replacement shall occur within a reasonable time frame and to the satisfaction of Trinity Metro Management.
