Remodeling and renovation of a municipal facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Phase 2 interior office remodel project includes full floor remodels on 6th, 9th, 14th, and 15th floors. The floors will be completed in that order for occupancy requirements. The total USF of Phase 2 is 79,797 SF. The first phase included floors 8, 10, 11, 13, and 16. The Phase 2 work will match all finishes with the Phase 1 work plans. The scope on each floor includes full interior demolition except for the building core: bathrooms, elevator lobbies, and air shafts. There will be some abatement and patching of fireproofing. Construction will replace carpet, ceilings, lighting, offices, conference rooms, kitchens, and restrooms per plans. The new mechanical and electrical distribution will tie into building services that have been replaced on every floor. Some work at existing restrooms and the elevator lobbies are part of the project. Electrical work includes coordination with furniture installation. The AV equipment and installation are within the Contractor's scope of work, including coordination with furniture installation in meeting rooms.
