THE PROJECT consists of performing all Work and furnishing all labor, materials, tools, plant equipment and incidentals for the Cargo Apron Slab Replacement in accordance with the details as shown in the Specifications, or as directed by MNAA or its authorized representative. Bidders must be in good standing with the State of Tennessee and be qualified to meet all Local, State and Federal statutes, codes, regulations, and ordinances governing the performance of the type of Work for which Bidder is submitting a Bid. The Cargo Apron Slab Replacement, Project No. 2306, will commence May 2024 with completion within the specified number of calendar days. SCOPE. The Cargo Apron Slab Replacement consists of full depth reconstruction of broken and shattered concrete slabs on the north cargo apron, formerly the main airport terminal apron. Schedules 1 and 2 include approximately 7,500 SY of concrete replacement in two areas: in the vicinity of FedEx Parking positions and Taxiway Charlie 5. This repair will require 16" of FAA-specified P-501 concrete to be placed and the markings to be repainted. MINIMUM WAGE RATES. Successful Bidders shall be required to pay all mechanics and laborers on the Project at least the minimum Highway wage rates established by the State of Tennessee. The name, license number, expiration date thereof, and license classification of the contractors applying to propose for the prime contract and for the masonry project when the total cost of the masonry portion of the project exceeds one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000), and for the electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning contracts, and closed loop geo-thermal heating and cooling, must appear on the outside of the envelope containing the proposal except when the proposal is in an amount less than twenty-five thousand ($25,000). Prime contractor bidders who are to perform the electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, masonry, and geo-thermal must be so designated upon the outside of the envelope. Failure of any bidder to comply therewith may void such bid and the envelope containing such bid may not be opened or considered. MNAA proposes to award the Contract to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, provided it has met the goals for SMWBE participation or, if failing to meet the goals, has made an acceptable good faith effort to meet the established goals for the SMWBE participation. Bidder is advised that MNAA reserves the right to reject any and all Bids submitted, to waive any and all informalities, irregularities and/or technicalities in any Bid or Bid Guaranty, to accept any Bid deemed advantageous to it and to negotiate changes, deletions, or additions to these Contract Documents with the successful Bidder.
