Renovation of an educational facility in Rouses Point, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or the proposals will be rejected within 45 days of the date of opening proposals. Bids shall be subject, however, to the discretionary right reserved by the School District to waive any informalities, accept or reject any alternatives, reject any proposals and to advertise for new proposals, if in its opinion the best interest of the School District will thereby be promoted. Each bidder may not withdraw his bid within 45 days after the formal opening thereof. A bidder may withdraw his bid only in writing and prior to the bid opening date. As work in question is directed to the Architect for his sole response, only the attached Architect's RFI form will be considered as final and binding Each bid must be accompanied by bid security of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid (including base bids and alternates), which may be a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft, or bid bond executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New York and made payable to the Owner. Bidder shall agree to start work on July 15, 2024 (following demolition/abatement by others) and be substantially completed by August 23, 2024.
