Site work for a water / sewer project in Meridian, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The principal items of work involve construction of approximately 11,000 linear feet of 12-inch C900 waterline; approximately 7,900 linear feet of 8-inch SDR-26 PVC sewer; approximately 4,000 linear feet of4" SDR-21 PVC forcemain; new fire hydrants, sewer manholes; two (2) lift stations with duplex pumps and other appurtenances and incidental work as required along Jimmie Rodgers Parkway in Meridian, MS. Bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to 5% of the total bid is required. Contract security in the form of 100% Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. No bid may be withdrawn after closing time for the receipt ofproposals for a period ofthirty (30) days. Each bidder shall provide a Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility or their bid will not be opened or considered. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following locations: Office ofthe Engineer: Engineering Plus, Inc.; 1724-B 23rd Avenue, Meridian, MS 39301 (601- 693-4234) Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors, and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities and equipment, material, and/or supply needs. The award, ifmade, will be made to the lowest and best qualified bidder on the basis of unit bid prices in the contract documents. Actual work quantities performed shall be based on availability offunds. The work to be done is generally as shown in the plans and technical specifications. The Board ofSupervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, all minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds ofrace, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
