The Work to be performed under this Contract as described below shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, supplies, labor and transportation, and performing all Work as required by and in strict accordance with the Contract Documents, all of which are made a part hereof. The Work shall be complete, including all Work, material, and services not expressly called for or shown in said Contract Documents, which may be necessary for completion and proper construction to carry out the Contract in good faith. The site of Work shall be left in a neat condition. The cost of all Work performed, furnished, and installed is to be included in the amount bid for the various items of Work with no separate compensation allowed therefore The construction consists of installation of 185,887 ± square yards of rubberized cape seal in various local streets in the City of Clovis. Rubberized seal involves an application of asphalt rubber chip seal and an application of Type II slurry seal at each location. The chip seal binder shall contain 100% recycled California waste tires at a minimum of 15% (minimum 300 lbs. per ton) by weight in the asphalt binder. This project also involves installation of 222,249 ± square yards of Type II slurry seal additional streets. See the scope of work in the Construction Specification for details. License Requirements A, C12 or C32 Liquidated Damages $1,000 per Calendar Day Project Duration Forty Five (45) Working Days Estimated Bid Value $1,980,325.00 Bid Bond 10.00% Payment Bond 0.00% Performance Bond 0.00% The Contractor shall forthwith furnish in triplicate, a faithful performance bond on the Owner’s form in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price and a labor and materials bond in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, both bonds to be written by a surety company acceptable to the Owner and in the form prescribed by law. The Contractor Shall Bid on All of the Items in the Base Bid Section and, if Applicable, the Alternate Bid Section. The Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids. Liquidated damages shall accrue at a rate of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day for each and every calendar day of delay in completing the Work under this contract, and for each and every calendar day of delay in completing a milestone deadline.
