As of July 31, 2025, this project is expected to bid in the summer of 2026. The primary objective of the project is to: o Allow OWASA to discharge 1000 gallon per minute (gpm) from the WTP into the Rocky Branch Interceptor without sewer capacity concerns o Evaluate replacement or rehabilitation options for the identified sewer mains along Rocky Branch Interceptor o Recommend design and construction plans that will achieve the needs of OWASA o Perform construction related services to complete the recommended construction o All other work as necessary to complete the project The engineering services required for this project are expected to be completed to meet the objective outlined above and in general accordance with a scope of services as needed to accomplish the tasks listed below. However, the final scope of services will be negotiated with the selected engineering firm and may include modified and/or additional tasks. 1. Planning services may include: a. A study of the current sewer system and budgetary cost estimates, including consideration for alternative installation methods b. Preliminary engineering / alternatives evaluation c. Risk, stakeholder engagement, and procurement planning 2. Design services may include: a. Design and permitting b. Maintenance of operations planning c. Development of construction contract documents and technical specifications d. Cost estimation e. Bid assistance 3. Construction services may include: a. Construction inspection b. Construction administration c. Assistance with stakeholder engagement and communications d. Preparation of Record Drawings and other closeout information
