Basic Wing Substation Replacement Project - Installation of pre-purchased substation along with new proposed Electrical distribution within the Basic Wing of the Medical School. Only Prequalified General Contractors and Prequalified Electrical Contractors May Bid, with the exception of DCAMM certified sub trade(s) bidders. Renovations will include selective demolition of drywall partitions, carpet tile and VCT flooring, suspended ceilings, power, lighting, and HVAC systems Estimated Cost $9,700,000 Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Sub Bid Category Masonry, Acoustical Tile, Painting, Fire Protection, HVAC, & Electrical Substantial Completion - 978 calendar days ; Final Acceptance within 30 days after the date specified for Substantial Completion. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women. RFI’s were due on July 11th The Project consists of but not limited to: Installation of pre-purchased substation along with new proposed Electrical distribution within the Basic Wing of the Medical School. General Contractor shall be responsible for management of an Electrical Sub-Contractor and coordination of multiple Electrical shutdowns to be coordinated/executed in an occupied high rise building while still maintaining operation during core hours. Project shall include efforts to work with the Electrical Sub-Contractor to provide detailed Methods of Procedures (MOP's). General Contractor and Electrical Contractor have been pre-qualified under the RFQ associated with this project. Only General Contractors and Electrical Contractors, which have been pre-qualified, may bid on their applicable trade scope.
