Accompanied with each bid will be a certified or cashier's check, or an acceptable bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid. This bid bond may be forfeited to the City if the bidder should fail to enter into a contract within 15 days of the bid award or withdraw his bid after bids have been opened. The bid bond will be valid for ninety (90) days following the opening of the bids. *The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding. In case of lack of clarity in stating prices, the City reserves the right to consider the most advantageous bid thereof, or reject the bid. Qualified DBE firms are encouraged to submit bids." The bidder agrees to substantially complete the work on the project within one ninety (180) working days from the date of Notice to Proceed.
