PROJECT INFORMATION A. Project Identification: Bartlett Community Partnership School Boiler Replacement. 1. Project Location: 79 Wannalancit St, Lowell, MA 01852. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. The scope of the project includes the demolition and replacement of the existing boiler system, pumps, venting, and domestic water heating system. New boilers, pumps, venting, piping, and domestic water heating system systems will be provided. There will also be masonry work associated with the removal and installation of the boilers and other components. The scope also includes any other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Substitutions for Convenience: Engineer will consider requests for substitution if received within 60 days after commencement of the Work. Requests received after that time may be considered or rejected at discretion of Architect. Each bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount and submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked, "Proposal for BARTLETT BOILER REPLACEMENT PROJECT". The deposit shall be in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's or Treasurer's Check, made payable to the City of Lowell, or cash. The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond of an amount equal to One Hundred (100%) percent of the total Contract Price, issued by a Surety Company, satisfactory to the Commissioner of Public Works. The City of Lowell, acting through its Chief Procurement Officer, reserves the right to waive any informality in, to reject any or all bids or to accept the one which appears in the best interest of the City of Lowell.
