Renovation of a transportation facility in Mississauga, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Edward J. Dowling Transit Facility consists of six (6) buildings identified as A, B, C, D, E and F. Building A and C are original buildings and over the years there have been multiple additions to the overall site. Building B, D, E and F are all new additions to the original site. Based on site review and assessment of site conditions with facility staff, it is understood that there are existing drainage issues inside Building A - Truck bay. Inadequate drainage has lead to water ponding and damage to the surface of the concrete flooring. There is significant evidence of cracks, chipped and temporary repairs to the existing concrete flooring around the grilles and underground drainage pipes. It was noted that the drainage channel is in line with the path of the wheels for the incoming buses, which appears to be contributing to the deterioration. Work of this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following items; Repairs to slab on grade and pipes, the replacement of trench drain frames & grates and bollards, power flush & CCTV scope and below grade Plumbing Designated Substance Survey.
