Completed plans call for the addition of a 3,296-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

The project is an addition and partial renovation of a 3,296 s.f. single story wood frame and brick veneer building located in Bluebonnet Swamp Nature Center. The major components of the project are the replacement of all HVAC systems, replacement of lighting with LED fixtures, replacement of all single pane windows and storefront systems to insulated glass energy efficient units in the existing Nature Station Building. Bids, amendments to bids, or requests for withdrawal of bids, received after the time specified for bid opening shall not be considered for any cause whatsoever, except as required by law. Bids shall be firm for a period of forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of bids and no bid shall be withdrawn for any reason during this period of time except as allowed per LSAR.S.38:2214.C. Bidders shall obtain an original set of bidding documents from BREC. Any Addenda, if issued, will be e-mailed to prospective bidders who have purchased plans and registered with the BREC Purchasing Department.
