**As of May 6, 2024, the project was awarded to Marbro, Inc., the lowest qualified bidder, in an amount not to exceed $1,447,117.00.** Replacement of Hurricane Bridge, Structure No. 1518-012, Whiting-New Egypt Road (C.R. 539) Over Old Hurricane Brook, Manchester Township. Bidders must comply with P.L. 1975, C. 127 and 10% Surety required. John N. Ernst, Ocean County Engineer. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of the complete replacement of the existing single span, 20' long, timber and concrete bridge, with a single barrel precast rigid frame founded on reinforced concrete footings. The work also includes the construction of temporary and permanent sheeting, minor approach roadway work, as well as guide rail and end treatments. The work shall be staged utilizing a temporary traffic signal system. Estimated construction cost range: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
