Grounds Maintenance- Walking/hiking trails, Entrance Road, and Marina/Sports Complex Area. General Walking Hiking Trails: Initial season maintenance shall include leveling and grading path entrances and path areas impacted through the winter adding gravel (as needed). Ongoing maintenance includes mowing, weed eating and maintenance of gravel pathways of walking/hiking trails and trail entrances. Use of chemical treatment shall not be used without a submitted use plan and prior approval from the Town and Corps of Engineers. The Contractor shall pick up trash, limbs, debris, etc. before each mowing/weed eating. Work shall be performed as needed, but not less than at least one (1) time per month between May and October. Ridgeline Road Trail: Ongoing maintenance shall include weed eating of shoulders of concrete path, cutting back and removing tree and or brush encroachment. Use of chemical treatment to eliminate/reduce weed growth is allowed along Ridgeline Road Trail, provided a use plan is submitted and approved by the Town prior to using any chemical. Work performed as needed, but not less than at least one (1) time per month between May and October. Entrance Road: During the contract period, the Entrance Road shoulder(s) shall be mowed five (5) feet on either side of the pavement, excluding the center of any road island, when the general growth of the shoulder reaches three (3) feet on an as needed basis or when requested. Marina/Sports Complex Area: During the contract period, the area should be brush hogged when the growth reaches three (3) feet in height, on an as needed basis. The area covers about ten (10) to thirteen (13) acres. Initial Contract is for April 1, 2024 through December 31, 2024.
