Power Generation and Distribution Machinery, Electrical Equipment and Components and Supplies, Construction Services Amtrak is currently accepting Letters of Interest for Construction Services in support of our Monmouth Junction Sub 36 Rehab Project. To mitigate the active leaks on #3A transformer at Monmouth Substation, Amtrak is proposing to replace gaskets at the radiator and radiator shut off, and repair/replace DETC packing. Work
will include pre-test, oil remediation and fill, installation, and commissioning of the #3A transformer during all phases of work. Amtrak is making improvements to various infrastructure elements in the area along the NEC line under the NYD Capital Portfolio. Site visits to the surrounding area resulted in findings of leaks on the #3A transformers at Monmouth Substation. The transformers are manufactured by FerrantiPackard with an oil capacity of 4,568 gallons rated for 138,000 - 25,000 V. The Scope of Work attached to this LOI is subject to change. There will be a mandatory pre-bid conference & site visit once qualified bidders have been identified. Letters should include specific qualifications that demonstrate interested firm's capabilities to perform the work described above and in the attached Scope of Work.
