Scope Of Work: Remove and dispose of existing wood fiber mulch in tree planters. Provide and install bonded rubber mulch surfacing in designated tree planters. Option #1 - Large Tree Planting Beds - 2,752 SF 24 - (14' x 8') Large Tree Planting Beds - 2,688 SF 4 -(4' x 4') Palm Tree Planting Beds In Front of Hotel - 64 SF Alternate #1 - Central Caolina Planting Beds - 1,517 SF 2 - (7' Circle) Palm Beds - 80 SF 3 - (7'x7') Tree Beds - 147 SF 1 - (4'x70') Landscape Bed - 490 SF 4 - (16' Half Circle) Tree Islands - 800 SF Alternate #2 - Tree Grate Replacement - 312 SF 13 - (4'x6') Tree Grates Beds - 312 SF Please see Pictures Below. Note we will only be doing tree / landscape islands in the paver sidewalk, or planting areas extending into street / parking area. We are not going to do rubber mulch in large landscape areas in front of buildings or brick walls. Payment and Performance Bonds (Construction Bids Only): If the Contractor's work as set forth in the Scope of Work exceeds $50,000.00, Contractor shall provide payment and performance bonds in the full amount of the Contract Sum. a. The payment and performance bonds, if any, shall name Owner as the obligee. Such bonds must be secured by cash or must be issued by a surety company licensed in the State of South Carolina with an "A" minimum rating of performance as stated in the most current publication of "Best Key Rating Guide, Property Liability". City of Sumter reserves the right to obtain clarification or additional information necessary to properly evaluate a bid. Failure of vendor to respond to a request for additional information or clarification could result in rejection of that vendor's bid. City of Sumter reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, separately or together, with or without cause; to waive technicalities in submissions, to secure a project that is deemed to be in the best interest of the City. City of Sumter also reserves the right to make purchases outside of the awarded contracts where it is deemed in the best interest of the City.
