Vinyl Composite Tile: Thickness 1/8" Static Load Resistance: 300PSI. Meets ASTM E-648 Fire resistance Meets ASTM E-84 Flame development - Meets ASTM D-1894 Slip Resistance - 5 Year Wear Warranty Standard of acceptance Fortress Elements by Amtico. b. Tile to be selected from standard range of colours to match existing. c. Adhesive: Chembond 1638 Asphalt Emulsion Adhesive as supplied by Kraus Canada. d. New resilient base: Top set, coved, 3 mm thick, rubber, 100 mm high (verify matches existing) including pre-molded end stops and external corners. At corners over 300 mm use wrap around system. Pile Height: Minimum 21/64" Gauge: 1/10 Backing: Woven Polypropylene, Action-Bac Kilotex: 13.00 or higher B.C.F.: Anti-Zipper Standard of acceptance Regiment or equal Carpet to be cut as per Brandon School Division Maintenance instruction. b. Carpet to be selected from standard range of colours to match existing. c. Adhesive: S511 by Buckwolds or equivalent. d. New resilient base: Top set, coved, 3 mm thick, rubber, 100 mm high (verify matches existing) including pre-molded end stops and external corners. At corners over 300 mm, use wrap around system. At doors and corners less that 300 mm, use pre-molded corners. Colour to match existing. e. Edge Strips: Multipurpose Napolok system 16-300 Roberts or equal, colour to be selected. Installation a. Install VCT in accordance with manufacturers printed instructions. Installation must be done in a way to maximize on warranty of the product being installed. b. Plan lay out of VCT to ensure that perimeter cut pieces are no less than 4". c. Cut and fit tightly around all fixed objects such as pipes and door frames. d. When meeting another color of flooring in a doorway make sure that the transition in under the center of the door. e. Install tile into adhesive after the adhesive has tacked, starting in the center of the room or hallway working toward the outer walls in a pyramid fashion, making sure to stay parallel to building lines. f. Clean off excess adhesive from the surface of the tile, roll the tile in both directions using a 150 lb 3-section steel roller to ensure proper bonding.
