Plans call to design and construct a deep well at the Carillion Water Treatment Plant that is similar in size and functionality to the existing Golden Heights and Industrial deep wells includes the installation and analysis of a test hole, designing an approximately 1600-foot-deep municipal well to meet a production of 2000 Gallons Per Minute (GPM), preparing bid documents, preparing and applying for all necessary permits (including environmental), and providing engineering design services during construction. An existing water treatment plant, operated by the City, will also be required to be modified to accommodate the new well. As of November 4, 2025, the project is in design. The construction document completion timeline has not been released. A tentative bid schedule for contractors has not been disclosed. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been identified.
