This project consists of replacing concrete sidewalks, driveway approaches, and universal access ramps as needed on Oak Street between Robinson Street and Salisbury Street. The bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price made in favor of the City of West Lafayette, Indiana, which amount shall accrue to and become the property of the City. Should the Bidder, awarded the contract, fail to enter into the required written agreement and secure same with the required one hundred percent (100%) performance, payment and guarantee bond. Wage rates on the project shall not be less than the Federal Davis-Bacon wage scale published by US Department of Labor. The lowest and most responsive bid will go before the Board of Public Works & Safety on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Bids must be entered upon the bid form and the State Form 52414 (R2/ 2-13)/Form 96 (Revised 2013) submitted in triplicate with the bid and non-collusion affidavit properly executed and must comply with the statutes of Indiana and with the rules and regulations of the State Board of Accounts of Indiana. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope marked "2024 CDBG Oak Street Sidewalk Project". Forms are available at the City Engineer's Office, 222 N Chauncey Ave, West Lafayette, Indiana 47906. Bids remain in effect for sixty (60) days. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities of bidding. Bid date description: No oral, telephoned, telegraphed, facsimile, or email bids or changes to bids will be considered. The total bid price shall be clearly displayed on the cover page provided in Exhibit C. No interpretation of the meaning of the Plans, Drawings, or other Contract Documents will be made to any Bidder orally.
