The Engineer's Estimate of Probable Cost of Construction for this project is $2,046,135 for the base bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work and to negotiate contract terms with the successful Bidder inside the limits established by statute The Contractor shall pay at least the wage rates for the various classes of labor employed directly on this project in accordance with the prevailing wage rate as determined by the United States Department of Labor in accordance with the Davis-Bacon Act and subsequent amendments, as the general prevailing rates of per diem wages for job classifications utilized on construction for roadway, drainage, water and sanitary sewer infrastructure and major street maintenance in the City of Wichita Falls. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security made payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than 5% of the Bidder's maximum bid price and in the form of either a cashier's check, certified check, or a Bid Bond as specified in the General Provisions.
