Bidders are to raise any questions they have about the RFB document without delay. Direct all questions,
in writing, to the Purchasing Services administrator listed in Section 1.10.
Bidders finding any significant ambiguity, error, conflict, discrepancy, omission, or other deficiency in this
RFB document shall immediately notify the Buyer and request clarification. In the event that it is
necessary to provide additional clarification or revision to the RFB, the City will post addenda - see 1.12
below. Bidders are strongly encouraged to check for addenda regularly.
Bids should be as responsive as possible to the provisions stated herein. Exceptions are not permitted.
The City of Madison reserves the right to disqualify any and all bids that are non-responsive or that Scope of Services
Project Address: 755 Braxon Place - Madison, WI -
(2) Common Area & (1) Wellness/Library System
Install new fan coils & A/C condensers:
1. Remove & properly dispose of existing equipment & refrigerant.
2. Install (3) new Carrier FJ4DNXC48 4.0 Ton 208V 1-Phase Indoor Fan Coils with FER or of
comparable brand.
3. compliant fan.
4. Install (3) new Carrier 208V 1-Phase Electric Heat Kits into new fan coils or of comparable brand.
5. Install (3) new Carrier 24SCA448N003 4.0 Ton 208V 1-Phase R410a, 14 SEER A/C
Condensers or of comparable brand.
6. Flush the refrigeration lines with Rx11 flush per manufactures specifications and or replace
refrigeration lines.
7. 24-hour nitrogen pressure test of units and connected piping to manufacturer recommendations.
8. Installation of new local disconnects.
9. Installation of new condenser pads.
10. Reconnect Line/Low voltage.
11. Install new ductwork adaptions to existing supply/return ductwork.
12. Install new drain piping to existing drainage site.
13. Startup and verify proper operation of the units.
14. HVAC permit fees
Note: Electrical wiring to be reviewed by an electrician and adjusted as needed for proper
phase to new equipment & breaker sizing.
Fan coil units and outdoor a/c units should be on separate circuits.
New Fan coil units: 21 1/8" wide x 53 1/8" tall x 22 1/16" deep.
