Work consists of providing all construction, permits, labor, materials, equipment, services, supplies, miscellany, testing and instrumentation necessary and incidental to the completion of all work as specified herein. The work to be accomplished under this Contract is located at Springfield Hospital Center, 6655 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, Carroll County, MD 21784. a. Work consists of providing all construction, permits, labor, materials, equipment, services, supplies, miscellany, testing and instrumentation necessary and incidental to the completion of all work as specified herein. b. Base Bid shall include the installation of a new egress concrete sidewalk on the west side of the Hitchman building. The approximate length of the sidewalk is 285 linear feet. Installation includes excavation, placement of aggregate base, and backfill with permanent seeding. Grading of backfill material to maintain positive drainage is included in this scope of work, if applicable. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, tools, and materials required for this project. c. Dimensions given are approximations provided to potentially assist the Contractor and not intended to define the project. The State assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of measurements and quantities given in this specification. All Drawings and images contained in this document are diagrammatic in nature, not necessarily to scale, and are intended to identify the work to be performed and not to convey information about specific measurements. d. The Contractor is strongly urged to visit the job site and take his/her own measurements, and examine the conditions under which work must be performed. Items not described in this specification, but required for a safe, complete installation in accordance with all codes, laws, regulations and generally accepted building industry practices are considered to be included and provided by the Contractor as part of this project with no additional cost to owner.
