Response to Written Questions County Will Provide Responses to Written Questions Online on: 03/6/2024 The Riverside County Purchasing Department on behalf of the Department of Public Social Services (DPSS) Facilities Management is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to conduct market research and information gathering to identify qualified companies who can provide building security system and services. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS. This RFI is for planning and informational purposes only and shall not be considered as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of County to acquire any products or services. This is a source sought synopsis only. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by County will arise as a result of Respondent's submission to this RFI or County's use of such information. County reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any of Respondents' input resulting from this RFI. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. Data submitted in response to this RFI will not be returned to responding organizations. The purpose of this RFI is to engage the most qualified respondents or a set of respondents working together, to provide information. The information provided may result in a sourcing event in the near future. BACKGROUND:
The County of Riverside spans 7,209 square miles and is centrally located in Southern California and borders Orange County to the west, San Bernardino County to the north, San Diego and Imperial counties to the south, and the State of Arizona to the east. DPSS has administrative office buildings throughout the County of Riverside. Each building has a burglar alarm system, access control system, a panic system, and a CCTV system. In addition, some offices have visitation room monitoring systems. All burglar alarm camera feeds are recorded and able to be accessed remotely for up to 4 months. The burglar intrusion systems need to be monitored 24 hours a day/365 day a year with a dispatch center to notify the department or to dispatch police.
