Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Orillia, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 1,488-square-foot, one-story above grade water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The current SPS was originally constructed in 1947, with pump upgrades in 1973. It currently has several deficiencies, including no longer meeting the requirements of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and NFPA 820 standard for Fire Protection in Wastewater Treatment and Collection Facilities, aging electrical, mechanical ventilation and SCADA systems, an undersized wet well, limited pumping redundancy and various structural deficiencies within the building. Tatham completed a Schedule B Municipal Class EA in 2022, which identified the construction of a new SPS as the preferred alternative. This procurement is part of that project to construct a new SPS. The work includes the construction of a new sewage pumping station (SPS) to replace the existing SPS, including, but not limited to the following: - Reinforced, cast-in-place concrete wet well, dry well, inlet channel, and associated works; - Structural concrete block and stucco clad above grade control building; - Three 85 hp dry-pit submersible sewage pumps rated for a two-pump flow of 100 L/s; - Process piping, fittings, valves and appurtenances; - Overhead hoist beam with electrical chain hoist and trolley; - A washroom facility; - Two separate ventilation systems and associated works; - A new electrical service; - MCC, ATS, VFDs, PLC, backup diesel generator and all associated works; - Lighting, receptacles, and associated works; - Instrumentation and control equipment; - Yard piping, including modifications to existing sewers, new sewers and maintenance hole, storm sewer realignment and maintenance hole, realignment of existing watermain; - All associated site works, excavation, backfill, grading, swales, siltation and control works; - Provisional decommissioning of the existing SPS following successful commissioning of the new SPS. Documentation from the contractor's surety provider confirming the bonding capability for a minimum of $9 million for 100% Performance and 50% Labour and Material.
