Stationary on Street Containers and Services for Waste Collection. Agency Chief Contracting Office. DSNY is seeking an appropriately qualified vendors to manufacture, deliver, assemble, install, maintain, and support Stationary On-Street Containers ("SOSC") for use on New York City streets. SOSCs will be targeted to residential properties with thirty-one (31) or more units (addressing approximately 19,700 buildings with 1,731,000 units), which produce too much putrescible waste to be reasonably and efficiently serviced by two-wheeled bins. These SOSCs will have a common look and feel determined by DSNY and will be installed in the parking lane in front of their respective property and collected by the Department on standard service days using a newly designed Automated Side Loader sanitation truck. The vendor will design and manufacturer large Stationary On-Street Containers in two sizes ranging from 2,000 liters (2.6 yrd3) up to 3,200 liters (4.2 yrd3) that can be installed on the streets on New York City. The Manufactured SOSCs must be delivered by the winning vendor throughout New York City's five boroughs where they will be staged, assembled, and installed by the chosen vendor.
