Georgia Tech seeks the assistance of a professional engineering and planning services firm with an integrated team of sub-consultants as required to provide comprehensive utility planning services for the development of the Georgia Tech Campus Utility Master Plan. Georgia Tech is seeking a consultant to create a document informed by the current Comprehensive Campus and Climate Action planning efforts to ensure a cohesive development strategy that builds toward an inspiring, sustainable and resilient future. This plan should provide a clear roadmap to support the carbon neutrality goals called for in the Climate Action Plan and advance Georgia Tech's broader Triple Bottom Line vision of sustainability, detailed below. This process will require significant stakeholder engagement, which will help Georgia Tech coalesce around near-term, high-impact capital investments that will advance key strategic plan initiatives. This effort will be coordinated through the office of Infrastructure and will provide for best-in-class systems that serve the greater campus utility requirements in a phased approach over the next ten years and beyond. These systems shall be planned and budgeted to provide for longevity and resiliency in support of the campus' mission. Utility system planning shall demonstrate regional and global leadership that supports and provides for campus research opportunities. These efforts shall be grounded in and demonstrate a sound financial business plan. To facilitate stakeholder engagement the office of Infrastructure intends to form four working groups to best define priorities and actionable efforts over the next ten years. Working groups will include stakeholder subject matter experts in the areas of: Infrastructure, Planning, Sustainability and Research. The Owner reserves the right to adjust the schedule as the Owner deems necessary. Planning Professional Fee The Engineering and Planning Professional Base Fee will be approximately $400,000. Anticipated Planning Professional service requirements include the services as listed in Item 3 below "Scope of Services". The Engineering and Planning Professional firm is required to submit a fee proposal that also includes anticipated fees for any specialty consultants needed and all reimbursable expenses such as printing and travel in the Step II - Request for Proposals (RFP) phase. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
