Clearing and Grubbing area consists of about 0.7 acres, Phase 1 Clearing as depicted on the attached aerial photo, but will not be measured for payment. Work includes clearing and grubbing of all trees (dead or alive), under 3" in diameter and all vegetation throughout the 0.7 acres of Phase 1. The goal is to use the grubbing remains as mulch, if applicable. If the remains cannot be used as base/mulch, then the grubbed vegetation will need to be removed. Per City Code of Ordinance Section 145.020, "On all contracts for public work of any kind to be performed for the City, the cost of which is estimated to exceed fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00), every Bidder entering into contract with the City for any such public work shall execute therewith and file in the office of the City Clerk a bond, City of St. Charles Animal Shelter; 2835 W Randolph Street; St. Charles, MO 63301. It is anticipated that contract will be awarded in April 2024 and all work should be completed prior to May 31, 2024.
