The Work includes purchasing, delivering, storing, and applying liquid ferric chloride and liquid sodium aluminate (Arrowhead, Indianhead, Holiday, Wing lakes) and liquid aluminum sulfate and liquid sodium aluminate (together referred to in the Contract Documents as aluminum) (Lake Rose) to the lakes to mitigate the internal release of phosphorus from lake sediment. The Work is to be completed by May 24, 2024, for the application to Arrowhead and Indianhead Lakes (Edina) and Wing Lake and Lake Rose (Minnetonka). The application to Lake Holiday must be applied on or after September 1, 2024, and completed by October 25, 2024. All five lakes will be bid as one project with separate quantities and requirements for each individual lake. Each lake has unique site characteristics that will be treated separately with each mobilization bid item. The scope of work requires specific doses for each lake based on the lake's sediment chemistry. The Owner, however, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any nonmaterial irregularities, informalities or discrepancies, and further reserves the right to award the contract in the best interest of the Nine Mile Creek Watershed District.
