As of August 19, 2025, the project has been cancelled. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Description of the construction geographic area: - North High Shoals, GA in Oconee County, GA along Hillsboro Road's eastern side, approximately 2,230 linear feet, between Georgia State Highway 186 and Rays Church Road. Installation of approximately 2,230 linear feet shall be ADA compliant, 5' wide sidewalks and appurtenant structures at various locations throughout the city. All work shall be to the Georgia Department of Transportation specifications and include the installation of ADA compliant handicap ramps where required along the route. Traffic control is to be provided by the contractor throughout the entire construction period. Construction of these sidewalk segments will further facilitate safe travel for citizens and visitors alike. A professional right-of-way and topographic engineering survey was completed and is available to all bidders upon request. The contract will be effective November 11th, 2024, through November 11th, 2025 (12 months). The Town of North High Shoals reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all proposals, to evaluate proposals, and to accept any proposal which in its opinion may be in the best interest of the Town. The owner has the right to add or delete from the contract once it has been awarded.
