Reference Number 0000266047 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/03/18 04:30:00 PM EDT Renison University College is seeking proposals from interested bidders to Project Manage the demolition and construction of 8 resident washroom/shower spaces located at 240 Westmount Rd North Waterloo. The successful bidder will use the approved design concepts for each set of washrooms included in this proposal (PDF attached). The successful bidder will provide a tender for the following phases of the project: Phase 1- Using the design concepts included in this proposal produce architectural, mechanical, and engineering drawings for 8 resident washroom/shower spaces. A cost analysis to produce these drawings is to be included in the submission for this portion of the tender. Phase 2-Provided a Class A estimate for the coordination and execution of demolition and final construction of 8 resident washroom/shower spaces based off the architectural, mechanical, and engineering drawings produced in Phase 1. The successful bidder will design a phased proposal approach to the demolition and construction section of the project. Considering the window for this process at Renison would fall between the months of May-June. It is expected that each set of washrooms will be completed in this construction window in a phased approach over a 4-year period. As this RFP also includes the demolition of existing spaces and the disposal of materials. The successful bidder will be responsible for complying with all regulations relating to safe environmental practices for waste removal. As some sections of this demolition and build scope have been constructed prior to 1992, the successful bidder will be responsible for coordinating any hazardous material assessments deemed necessary prior to construction. Renison will provide its most current asbestos audit for review. The successful bidder will be responsible for acquiring all required permits for construction prior to commencement and providing the warranty on materials and workmanship as laid out in the warranty section of this RFP.
