Municipal infrastructure improvements. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Consulting Services has been awarded by the owner for Contract Administration and Site Inspection. In 2024, the City of Barrie will have over twenty (20) projects under construction, these vary in size from some being under a (100) one hundred thousand in value to being over (10) ten million in value. On average, the City of Barrie Infrastructure team delivers over (40) forty million dollars' worth of projects in any given year. The City has multiple full-time Contract Administrators (CA) and Site Inspectors (SI) that will be able to oversee approximately seventy percent (70%) of the 2024 construction projects. To ensure all the projects are delivered on time and within budget, the City is needing additional CA and SI services from a Consulting Engineering firm. The Consultant is responsible for assigning experienced CA and SI staff members to the various City projects based on the scope of the construction project, ensure their staff understand the scope of work, that all health and safety protocols are communicated and adhered to and to be the main point of contact between the City and their staff. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
