Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Woodstock, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The successful contractor will complete the Phase 2 road reconstruction of Oxford Road 9 (Ingersoll Road) in Woodstock. The project is broken down into two phases and it is noted that phase 1 scope of works was completed in 2021. The subject section of Oxford Road 9 currently comprises of a 4-lane urbanized cross section that transitions to a 2 lane nonurbanized cross section approximately 180 m south of Anderson Street. As part of Phase 1 of this project the section of roadway located north of the rail crossings right of way was reconstructed in 2021. The County is pursuing a Road Diet initiative to improve overall traffic efficiency, reduce accidents, and increase safety for all modes of transportation by reducing the existing 4 lanes to 2 lanes, providing a centre two-way left-turn lane, dedicated bike lanes and sidewalk extensions near at grade the railway crossing location. For the current scope of works required as part of Phase 2, the contractor shall provide all necessary labour, equipment and materials to complete the construction works which will generally consist of but not limited to o Excavations of existing road and select sanitary sewer and sidewalk removals south of the existing railway crossing; o Installation of select sanitary sewers and appurtenances; o Working adjacent to and within a railway authority s right-of-way requiring coordination with CN authorities The awarded contractor will obtain the permits and coordinate the flagging services required for working adjacent to the tracks and the County will pay for the flagging services required; o Road restoration including placement of granular material and asphalt placement adjacent to and south of the tracks o Placement of surface asphalt north of the existing railway crossing; Note base asphalt was placed as part phase 1 scope of works o Construction replacement of select sidewalks between Anderson Street and Park Ave and Sidewalk extensions adjacent to the railway crossing o Restoration of disturbed areas; o Pavement markings, signing and traffic control; o Other miscellaneous right-of-way work including seeding; o Small structures fencing, new cubs, signs, etc o Erosion and sediment control measures; and o Construction dewatering as required for sanitary sewer replacements.
